Finger labyrinths are a tool for practicing mindfulness and meditation. They can help to calm and center oneself.  As opposed to a traditional maze, there are no wrong turns. The path, no matter how twisted, leads to the center. A carved finger path makes it unnecessary to look, allowing one to focus on the walk.

The labyrinth follows a pattern of a classical, Cretan maze. Our labyrinth has a well-defined center, making it natural for a finger to rest at the end of the walk.

Features of this labyrinth:

  • this medium-sized finger labyrinth is made of maple wood
  • it measures 7 1/2 inches by 6 1/2 inches and is approximately 7/8 inch thick
  • it is hand finished with beeswax and jojoba oil. It comes with a cotton storage bag
  • the labyrinth has wide grooves with smooth edges, which are very satisfying and easy to trace

A labyrinth is a great tool to have at home or on an office desk, as walking the labyrinth is a right-brain activity enhancer and helps calm oneself and enhances problem-solving. A carved finger path makes it unnecessary to look, allowing one to focus on the walk. As opposed to a traditional maze, there are no wrong turns. Our labyrinths have a well-defined center, making it natural for a thumb to rest at the end of the walk. Experiment with using the non-dominant hand to find the way!
